Definitely 2wd. 2wd breaks less and is easier to maintain. You’ll burn thru less tires in 2wd too. Considering you’re in Dallas I should point out that the 4wd doesn’t often have enough vehicles to make their own class. At that point the 2wd and 4wd mods will be mixed. Rookie class is race what ever you brought. During the summer people seem to find other things to do so you probably won’t find too many 4wd cars on race day. 2wd truck is more forgiving than 2wd buggy. Considering our track gets very rough a truck would be a good platform to learn from but I think you’ll learn to be a better driver with a 2wd buggy. 2wd buggy seems to be more of a driver’s race.
