Hey Joe, looking forward to getting outdoors too.
Use the original Gorilla Glue:

Use plenty of glue, let the excess glue spill out. Place the plates with pads in a vice overnight. The next day clean up the glue with a hobby knife and sand the pads down a bit with sandpaper.
Another tip: use one teflon and one black pad for more consistent braking throughout a long main.
