Hi Doctor Lowtech,
Ever since my dad (thats what mum says to call him) met Simon Cox through my sister Narelle, he has taken an active intrest in my radio control car racing. I think he is having trouble with traction compound & I hope you can help him as I think he need it.

I overheard him talking to his male friend in my mummy & daddies room while mummy was at nanna's for the weekend. They were talking about "rubbers". I heard my daddy say "Derek, I cant get it to work" "Its too hard". Derek, who only comes over when mummy is away said something about KY Gel, which I think is a Trinity traction compound I think(I remember Racing Lines did a review of it im pretty sure). Anyway, I heard daddy say "Oh gosh, its so slippery" "I cant get traction" Derek musnt of liked it either because he was saying "How much of that stuff did you use, I've got no feeling?". I was going to walk in and suggest they they try foam instead, because I heard all the fast guys use foam. Just as I was about to open the door, I heard Derek saying "Faster...faster....faster" & he sounded really happy. Then I heard dady saying "Oh gosh....Yes Yes Yes...........Its so sticky" so I guess they got the KY & rubbers to work?

Dr Lowtech, do you reccomend KY Traction compound on rubbers? If so, is it normal to start off really slippery & finish off very sticky?

Thankyou
