The charger is made like this because many Li-Po's out there shouldn't be charged at 2C. Ours can if you use a balancer. But in all reality your only going to shave maybe 10 to 15 minutes of the charge time by doing so. Hyperion makes one of the safest lines of chargers and as far as I'm concerned you should and you really only need to be charging at 1C. Rushing the process will only lead to problems.
