Hi Banzai family! I have a question about armature winds and figured who else better to ask but the true brushed racers
I run all off-road mod classes and am currently still using decent GP3300 and GP3700 batteries from a couple of years ago and most people I would talk to were running single and double winds for being a little "punchier" back then. Fast forward to today with 4200+ nimh's and lipos and many banzai racers are now running triples/quads/quints/hex winds. I know every driver is different, but is this to smooth out the punchiness of the current batteries for a more consistent powerband or are there other preferences in mind (temperature, comm wear, etc)? I know I will always be slightly down on punch due to using older gen. batts, but with that said, should I stick with lower winds? Thanks for any help, and your local support at pegasus has greatly encouraged me to stick with my brushed setup and go BANZAI instead of brushless.
