You're so wrong. Rebadging is not the same as platform sharing. Yes, these vehicles share a platform, but are not simple 'retrims' or 'rebadges'. Imagine if you took the 2 cars apart, and subtracted one for each part that is a duplicate and put them in a pile, one 'common' and one'unique'. You would probably end up with a pile of parts much larger for unique, and most likely the 'common' pile will be stuff that is generic.
The Vibe and Matrix go far beyond smple platform sharing. They're just reskinned versions of the same car. Once you get the outwardly visible andf obvious parts off everything left goes into the "common pile". They're even produced in the same plant...
