You can not go wrong with a CRC Gen X. It has proven to be one of the best cars on the market. (Winning another national title just about a week ago). Not only is the car excellent, CRC's customer service is even better! They are more then willing to help anyone out with any question they mite have. you can get all the parts you need for the car all day long on their website and at many hobby stores. They have a new manual that comes with the kit that explains in detail, a lot of very valuable information in seting up the car with other car set-ups on their website.
Hope this helps.

Some things that may be important:
- carpet racing only
- brushed 19T racing (I'll be racing brushless in 1 year or so)
- good support (spare parts, set-ups,...) available
