I think they are a waste of money because what if the track is dirty and dusty and you clean the track and still get no grip at all it has more to do with your car setup to gain the traction and they dont enhance the performace of your car by much unless you race mod or competing for world championships
If your setup is crap you will gain little, but if you've got the setup they can make a huge difference over the first few laps.
