Why go to 3.7V? All ESC, servos and recievers work very well with 7.4V. Just use just 2000 or 2500mAh and a high turn motor. A few jears ago, the 12th racers ran with 6 cells and 7.2V
And they were quite a hand full back then. With the power of today's motors they would be insane. This is why some people have proposed 7.4v with 380 sized motors. But then there is also the issue of space. It was tough enough fitting electronics in a 6 cell saddle pack car...LiPo will have us back to that.
