Finally got the car out to the track this past Saturday and it ran great. I was happy with the car but my driving was another story. It was tough out there and I was all over the place the first few laps. Got the jitters out and I was finally able to get around the track without hitting the boards. I immediately noticed I wasn't shifting into second gear but after a quick inspection I realized my 2 speed clutch shoe was totally worn out. Got a new one on order. Kept running the rest of the day with only first gear and the car was doing great around the turns and handling was on point. Couldn't really open the engine up down the strait but had a lot of fun anyways. Cant wait to get back out in a few weeks after the repairs. Overall the car performed well for its age and with some more fine tuning I think it will be ready for an upcoming club race.
