Just guessing, but I'd do it through the fiberglass "hockey sticks" using the holes that had been intended for the unneccessary tweak screws. You'll just be clamping a washer against one side of the 'glass with a screw and nut through the stick. Larger washer would act "stiffer", smaller washer less so. This is because you are bracing that portion of fiberglass and preventing it from flexing.

All this is assuming you really need a stiffer piece. I'm guessing that if you do you're actually masking other set-up issues...or you're on REALLY high bite conditions. Like freakishly high.
