anyone hack into zipzaps or bitq? (I know..why, but...)
does anyone still play with these little zip-zap racers or the bit-q infrared racers? I love em cause my kitties get their exercise chasing them around but of course have managed to mangle a few,, which has led me to attempting repairs and also doing some hacks for automated control (so i don't have to sit their controlling it, and can easily deploy more than one at a time.)--I have some basic questions about both types and am hoping someone knows alot about these two types in particular?
- For instance I'm trying to find out the exact battery specs for the bit q (I believe the zipzaps are 1.2v ~120mA)
- I really need to find the rx and tx schematic(ZZ) if possible cause trying to map it out from such a tiny baord has been lame, and a datasheet for the realtek rx1/tx1 or clones,, been having a heck of a time finding info about these IC's for some reason!! mostly need info about how much of the radio block is integrated into the IC...
- I'm also trying to find out the exact part number for the bit-q IR-module-- I know it is one of those integrated devices that takes care of the de-mod and some basic filtering- and the case indicates its freq (I think) but haven't found any results after doing some google searches of the numbers on part-package,, manufacturer logo looks like a forward tilted HL? #s, 138 // BB17 // 0305
anyone able to shed some light? apologies in advance if this is just the wrong darn place to post about these lil racers... cheers, jd
