Hyperion is good as long as you dont plan to ever discharge anything or charge your nimh/nicd batterys any higher then 5 amps.
Otherwise get a duratrax ice or pulsar 3 if you still have brushed motors and nimh /nicd battery's
Orion/Peak lipos dont need balancing but you can if you wanna.
