If I recall correctly, I believe the touring motors put out more low end grunt than the offroad cousins? If that is the case, with a 2wd buggy and a hot motor, you will be fighting wheelspin issues.

Then again, you could always play with spring and brush combos.

I personally would look at an offroad styled motor if you don't really want to do all that.

As for which to go with, I would say any of the motors that have really long brushless and are not known to get hung brush issues are good.
