eddie- Well, maybe Mike can chime in about what he does with CA on the tires. It can make a significant difference on front end bite (and rear, to a lesser extent), keeping the outside edge of the tire from rolling over and digging into the carpet and creating excess grip. This is ESPECIALLY important if your carpet is high bite. I suspect this is the biggest contributor to your problem, but there may be other factors.

Tire diameter is also important- the bigger the tire the more tendency to roll. Don't know what Mike ran for tire size. Plus Mike had custom holes in his shock pistons, affecting the weight transfer characteristics in corners. If you didn't drill your shock piston holes to 1.2 mm then you had something different than Mike. Look over his setup sheet and see if there are any other deviations.
