Last in the "B" would beat first in the "C". The point of masters is so they can race together to determine the winner. As for classes, you can have more than six if requested and approved by ROAR. We did that at both Nats in 2006 in NorCal.
As for masters making an additional class (although it is by the rules) I don't see it that way. It's just a subdivision of stock. It doesn't create more entries/heats or any more mains. If there wasn't a masters class those drivers would be in stock. It doesn't make any difference if there are 60 entries in stock or 40 in stock and 20 in stock masters. Still 60 drivers, 6 heats and 6 mains.
I agree! Masters has been around a long time, why drop it now?
