If your racing outdoors though the Slapmaster thrust bearing is definately the way to go. That outside hub bearing gets dirty fast outdoors and in 1 run you have a crunchy diff. The thrust bearing works best for this application. Indoors where it is clean and if you don't hit stuff then the bearing will last a lot longer and the thrust bearing is not needed.
I dont know about that. We race outdoors in Florida all year long. I replace my diff thrust bearing every 6 to 8 months. I just use normal BMI Kit bearings. I never clean that bearing either. I just saturate it with oil when I put it in and forget about it.
