The Evo III is a solid engine with lots of power. Like any other engine, I take the time to seal up the carb so there is no chance for a fuel or air leak. It makes a big difference. Outside of that, just run it and you'll find that it makes a lot of power. The raw finish head that you've seen is the magnesium head, which I don't think is available yet. Most of the drivers prefer the aluminum anyhow because it cools better.
