Run the truck the same as it came from the factory. It was built to handle a modified motor. As far as a battery is concerned I would get a maxamps 6kmah 2s lipo. It should fit find, And I think you will find that it gives you more then enough power. You will probly need to change your pinion, but I don't know how to gear those trucks w/ that motor.
