hi,

mabuchis i think are designed for drills and other stuff. i believe designed so that as brushes wear, internal timing is retarded to compensate. meaning the motor is designed to keep same max rpm as the brushes wear down.

i may be wrong, but i think thats why it is faster in reverse rotation. the 0 degree timing is only if you look at it externally. its what happens to timing as brushes wear down...
