I can guarantee you that Picco nor Ofna is losing any money selling it for $179.00. I just don't believe there enough material in a .12 to justify charging $300 plus dollars for one. I'm betting all the .12's would be within this price range if the other companies weren't being greedy. Just my opinion, if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will let me know.
Not justifying there cost but i think "IMO" there's more to the cost than material, development and testing would also be factored in I'm sure, I'm in the school of thought of sell cheap with large turn over = "Profit" out weighs high prices with lower turn over = Break even or have it sit on the shelf, I'm more than happy with this engine at the moment, the more i run it in the better it's getting, I'm gob smacked at how much this engine wants to get up and go while still running quite rich, of to the track soon for some track time and tuning, just hope no one increases there prices to capitalise on how good this engine is for profit
