I started off with a hyper7 Pro which is more or less similar to the TQ. I learned a lot from that car. Its a tank compared to a lot of other kits. Strong, reliable, good handling, good parts support and its cheap. Overall I think it is a great starter buggy.

For me, with any RTR the eletronics would be one of the first things to go. Good high torque servo for both throttle and steering then a decent FM radio would be great. In the end investing in electronics will save you from a lot of headaches. Check out the futaba 3pm Fasst or the airtronics mx-3 these are the budget radios but are using the spektrum technology if im not mistaken.
