The CML info has come from my local model shop in convidence, but this company is not alone in the way they process these Chinese cells to acheive the low IR and high voltages.
The problem is some of these blow ups can be attributed to miss use, over charging, even re-peeking at high currents, and others to soldering over the vent holes or distorting the end plate seal, from too much heat when soldering, then theres always the un-explained incidents.
This all threatens the future of these cells with the BRCA/EFRA boards(as you will have read in the links on my other post), with club racing and national events being cancelled for safety, the TeamOrion cells, could be the first of a new bread of cells legalised for the 2008 season.
