The principal of epoxy with woven carbon-fiber reinforcement is the same, be it in recreational use, aerospace or Formula 1. I explained the intricacies of different weaves above, if you would care to read that post. Regardless of the weave or number of plies, carbon-fiber is well known for its poor resistance to abraision. Perhaps if your car spent less time upside down the wing might stand more of a chance?
