Actually, somewhat anti-functional. If you bend the screw it becomes pretty difficult to replace because you can't back it out through the aluminum. You have to cut the bent screw off with a dremel to remove it. But if you never crash and bend stuff...
You have much less of the screw protruding, unsupported, past the threaded end of the FT bushing than with the thin nut and plastic bushing there; I'd think you're less likely to bend screws with the FT bushings.
