Just my view of the current BL situation, Novak is probably the largest BL motor seller in the USA. Most people run them since they are pretty reliable and have good customer service. Novak is not priced too high, nor too low. Novak was also the first company to mass market Brushless, starting about 4-5 year ago.
I see plenty of people wanting to go with something other than Novak, but I think this is just the desire to do something other than the norm. If you don't have money to waste, and you need a good reliable system from the start w/o any experimentation, get a Novak. You won't be disappointed.
