When I suggested working on the weight of the motors I was thinking you could cut down on the iron. But I guess that involves a big investment in tooling modification. Would the motor not have more effeciency if there was the same amount of copper but less iron and still reduce torque?
Higher horsepower and reduced torque is a step in the right direction, will be a good combo with punchy lipo's.
Syndrome raised a very good point on the upcoming micro esc. If the core design is good enough it could evolve into the next gen 1/10 modified controller
. Or even be a great stock competition one as it is. Did you guys at novak think of the 1/12th carpet class while you were designing it? Would it work with 10.5t 4 cells?
