The 3PK has better response time from when you pull the trigger or turn the wheel and the car responds to those movements over the spectrum radio. I am using the Futaba 3PM with the FASST System built in and I love it. Its a tick slower than the 3PK and the FASST system is flawless.
In other words, if you feel that you are doing fine with your current radio, I wouldn't change.
