The black outdrives are steel. You can use the shims between the bearing and the lip on the outdrive. I don't really find them necessary on the TA05MS as there as not as much play between the lip and the bearing in comparison to the TA05.
I think one-ways truly shine when paired with motors in the "stock" power range on smaller courses. The rear-wheel drive corner entry feeling is great; no other configuration gives that kind of corner entry speed and line. But even in that range of power, if you are on a larger track where you need to slow down very quickly, say for instance, if coming off a straight, then the lack of brakes can be a serious disadvantage.
i see. is there a piece of outdrives that i can get.. like delrin outdrives so i can replace the steel?
