Super Sport 10.5 is the Losi RTR ESC from Novak.
In the Super Sport 10.5 instructions there is no mention of brushed motors. In the Super Sport Plus instructions they tell you to connect the red wire from the battery to one side of the motor and all the brushless motor wires to the other side of the motor. But you
have to set up the ESC mode for brushless running and the Super Sport 10.5 manual has no mention of brushed mode.
Based on reading the manual I'd say you can't run brushed motor with your ESC.
If you want to use your speed controller as both brushed and brushless use LRP. LRP ESCs sense how they're connected and switch profiles automatically.
What I'm wondering is how on earth did you manage to "shoot" your brushless motor?
