I would have to say my son and I are probably in the 6-7 grand area and we have only being doing this since Jan 07'.
It started out as what was supposed to be an inexpensive way for he and I to spend time together other than youth sports. Yeah right
, damn Santa Clause,(4) 1/18's, 2 for carpet and 2 for dirt, (2) TC4's, (2) f103's,(1) T4,(1) Losi slider.
If you factor in the $75 a week for club racing 2-3 days a week, multiple cars. Then the "special races" we got to, 3 this month alone at around $200 a pop with travel, fees, food and parts.
I guess it is all relative to what ever your hobby is, I mean I know some guys that spend easily what we may on our "toy cars" for their fishing/hunting addictions.
I would not trade any of it though, as the commercial says "priceless". Just don't tell his mother
