I have the lowered towers on my car. Front shocks at 60.5mm w/ associated shock bottoms and I cut off about 3/16" off the top of the ball cup. Rear shocks at 61mm w/ associated shock bottoms. I always start my tires at 58mm's. I use 4.5mm ride hieght.
I know Im gunna catch flack for this but I tried the lowered front shock tower with the AE spring perches, 62 mm shock length and "outta the box" pro 53's and could get down below 5.5 mm RH with my set up (which is darn close to the goetz foam setup in the manual.) Am I missing something, or does the lowered tower have to be used with 58 mm tires?? Anyone else run into this? I am using xray springs.
