Out of curiosity what JP motors have you timed? Ive run a JP v-spec compared to a regular v-spec, very very different motor.

I am not defensive about NInja.. and I am truly not meaning to come across that way... There is nothing to defend, put the motors in question on a dyno and look at the power curves, the Ninja speaks for itself on this one......

As for a JP V-Spec it may run different then stock, but its port timings are 100% stock.. I never said anything about the way it runs, other then when we measured the port timing we found JP had done zero timing alterations over stock..

I am not joking either, my good buddy has a X-Dyno, and i can very easily arrange to have any engine tested. Adam from AB mods is an excelent guy who is also very interested to see what all these diffeerent motors put out.... I have seen dyno graphs from both modded 528's and modded Ninja 28's, and I know it would take a massive amount of work to get a 528 to rev to the level a Ninja 28 does...and unless JP does extensive port alterations the 528 is not going to run anywhere close to the modded Ninja 28..... I am not trying to defend the Ninja or bash the 528 here, I am just telling the truth based off engine port timing and actual dyno readings..... The Nova 528 needs extensive alterations to timing to even have a hope of running with the Ninja..the Nova has only 170 degrees exhaust timing, the Ninja has 180..the Nova has 122 transfer timing the Ninja has 132 degrees...the Ninja has a 16.8 mm stroke the 528 has 17.6 mm........ So unless JP Mods completely rebuilds the engine it isnt going to match the modded Ninja... But if anyone is willing we can arrange to have the motors in question dyno tested and the graphs overlayed.... I beleive people refering the modded 528's for Truggy application is wrong, I truly feel the Ninja is a much superior platform, and I also dont beleive the JP motor will be anywhere near as strong as people are expecting...... My bet is the motor is dead flat after 30K.......... But I sure would hate to be offering people false information, and would love to see the JP modded 528 on the dyno to see the real truth of the motor... If it dynoes as good as the hype it would be a motor i'd have get for myself...... I highly doupt its anywhere near the hype, as i say without extensive the port timing changes its not going to carry top end like the Ninja, and based off the JP V-Spec JP Mods does not alter port timing on their sleeves...... So limited 170 degress exhaust the 528 will run out of breath well before the NInja.

Anyways hopefully we can see a JP Modded 528 on the dyno.. I may be wrong about it, as i am only human... But my bet is after 30 000 RPM the modded Ninja completely decimates the modded 528....also my bet is the Ninja 28 also gets much better run time then the 528.
