New Electric Off-Road Track Bendigo Victoria
As posted in another thread onthis forum,
Bendigo council is holding a special event on Sunday 14th October called Bendigo on Wheels.
They will be blocking off approx 8 square blocks of the CBD to hold the event.
The main attraction being a Bike race through the city streets.
They have also invited othe sporting groups involved with wheels to attend.
They are constructing a purpose built Off-Road track near the Queen Elizibeth Oval (only 2 blocks from the centre of Bendigo) for the BAD club to hold a race meeting.
After further discussion with council they have said if the track dosen,t impact on the surroundings to much we have every possibilty it will remain there perminatly.
They said we could possibly use the track 3 to 4 time throughout the year.
We as a club would love to see this happen, and as we already have a nitro track. this track would be used for EP cars only.
I am putting out expressions of interest to all electric drivers that would like to attend this meeting on the 14th to PM me or reply to the thread.
So that if we get enough drivers to hold electrics as well as the nitro cars on this meeting.
We dont have a strong following of electric cars in bendigo, but if council see's out of town support there is every likelyhood the track will remain.
