stiffer means that in comparison. if you are breaking lose (soft) at your rear end you will probably hitting your rear end at corner and spin. stiffen up the rear will prevent the rear from hitting the ground.
Further to that AMG, r u racing at Brendale?
Check the tyre wear on your rear tyres. Is it wearing evenly?
Too much camber and too little camber will both result in lose of traction.
Also, what rear diff oil r u running? Try dropping down as this will increase your traction around bends.
