Yeah I had to bust out the heat gun & aluminum foil to preheat to 200F before I could start it brand new. Yeah the newer carbs are awesome. Will hold a tune and idle for over several minutes before bogging down. I also like the location of the idle needle on carb. Did you have any problems running a long turbo plug? I thought OS turbos were shorter and I've been running mine with P3's for awhile now on 30% I'm thinking about trying put p4's or p6's with mine for better glow plug longevity. I'm not running lean as they do last about a gallon and the bottom of the plug is damp with oil after running. Still these $10 plugs are getting to me lol. Tried an odonnell 97T but kept flaming out.
