I saw plenty of broken dish wheels at the Paved Nats last year and had one myself after looking over my car. I bet the spoked styles can be just as strong as a solid dish.
I like them! It's about time someone came out with bigger rims, I like the low-pro look a lot, especially on racecars because it says "performance."
