i use the duratrax temp gauge. small blue one. works great and can be adjusted to read the different metals. an anodized head will give a different reading than a non anod head will. thus you can change how the meter is "weighted" to get the proper readings. im sure the Odonnal also can me adjusted accordingly, which may explain the 20* difference seen by rdeppen
