IIRC, people from novak have posted here that the airgap on the current crop of motors is what it is to keep them on a somewhat level playing field with the brushed competitors. maybe with the newer BL motors coming into the market, this optional arm will help the novak motors close any performance defecit there may be (or percieved to be)?
