Well, I've always done it(with ANY car I've run) by holding the front or rear tires still & try to turn the spur(just do one end of the car at a time). If you feel the spur slip much, then the diff on that end is too loose. So you tighten it a bit more & then try again until you can just BARELY move the spur(if at all, personally, I still allow a TINY bit of slip, but that's a matter of preference & it just takes time & practice to get the feel for it).....
