I quit running TC and went to Mini because I didn't want to mess with all of that stuff. I also agree that "faster" doesn't mean "better" racing - at least not to me.
The funnest class I have ran, and the class with the most cars in our club races, is Spec. Yes, they are slow, yes, they handle like crap (compared to a hooked up TC, anyway) - but it keeps the racing close and in my opinion that puts more in the hands of the "driver", not the "tuner"....

It all depends on what you enjoy more - some folks enjoy tinkering with stuff, others don't.

I'd be all for a "run it like it came out of the box" Mini class...
