Yah know... when I first started out, I thought I needed all this high-tech stuff to be competitive. Then I pitted in a big race next to Charlie Perez. On his pit table were the following items:
1. 7" fan that he put on himself or on a car if it just came off the track from a race.
2. 2 Battery chargers. (With batteries nearby)
3. Soldering Iron
4. Can of Soda
5. His cars.
6. open lid box with his tools in it.
As the day wore on, he would periodically grab some tires and glue them up for where ever he was headed off to race the next week.
Since then, he's opened my eyes to what a person really needs on race day at the track.
