I think you need the TC Spec only if you want running very low wind BL motors like 3,5T. At our races you can see a lot of people using the Competition 2007 and even the older Competition. Regarding software/programming there is not much difference between TC spec and Competition 2007 but the TC spec is using a higher BEC voltage and has the cooling fan right from factory. But you can ad a fan also to the 2007.
