I like the sound of the brushed mod motors. I usuallly attend the Reedy invitational at Tamiya to watch the factory guys . this year it was all brushless. althought the cars were faster, i lost interest and left early. For the racer it is great, less maintenance and faster car. for the spectator, it is snooz city. I also miss the torque of the brushed mods power sliding, slower by less spectacular.
Don't get me wrong, I run sportsman mod in oval velo racing w/ a 4.5 novak bl it is way faster than any brushed mod motor I have used. I would never run a brushed motor in mod.
time will tell about the direction of bl racing and tc racing in general.
