Make sure you assemble the chassis on a flat surface such as a setup board. Screw the top deck in while holding the lower deck firmly down on the flat surface. It should sit flat on the setup board.

Like Macky said, use the black black o-rings in the one-way outdrive cups. I'm pretty sure they meant you to use the o-rings, it may have been drawn incorrectly on the diagram.
hmmm. I noticed that too with the kit/plastic center shaft holders, the optional aluminium holders take care of that nicely
