It was always a pain to remove the engine in the MTX-4. It would always get caught up on the rear bulkhead, radio plate, side stiffner, brake disc and/or the tensioner bracket (clutch bell).

I never take my engine out by removing the top 4 screws. I just don't trust myself being able to tighten it back down properly when I reinstall it.

1. Remove bottom screws
2. Remove the pipe from the exhaust wire mount
3. Remove carb linkage
4. Remove left side brace and side belt
5. Slide motor out.

When sliding the motor out, the flywheel may contact the brake disc. Play with the motor left to right while sliding it out. It's not really that bad and after doing it once or twice, it gets pretty easy.
