If your shock pops off, then use a 1/4 length buton head screw with a washer larger than the ball in the shock, use this idea top and bottom of the shock then the shock wont 'pop off'

that is exactly what i thought of the minute i even got the car.. we used to have to do this to the old rc10gt's to keep them on.
