ive noticed that some guys run a bit excessive endplay and this is a cause of thrust bearing failure as it shocks the bearing and puts them under more uneccesary load.I am running 2 clutch sets on two engines i use in mt G4S and the ones has well over year of use with track days, nationals and practice days under its belt and thrust is still smooth.
I run .1mm endplay with no hassles also i use FinishLine Dupont teflon grease for bicycles.
