Legalising Lipo's is fine but this can't be done until they are available for all configurations of cars. At the moment there is no Lipo that can be used as a saddle pack as they are are to high and what about the cars that use a 4x2 saddle pack arrangement. On road is fine as all cars are designed on the same platform but it's a different story in offroad.

I don't think the saddle thing will be an issue. either car or cell manufacturers will work it out. no doubt the day will come where cars are designed more for lipo than they are for sub-C. perhaps not in the near future, but definately eventually.
