I have yet to get a brushless 13.5 and esc, however 27t "stock" motor manufacturers painted themselves into a corner a long time ago. What we have now is a grossly inefficient little hotboxes we call "stock" motors. IMHO they should have gone to BBs, larger brushes, less timing(5-10 degrees) and a slightly hotter wind to compensate for the lack of timing. If you want to see what a good brushed motor looks like, have a look at an AFI 05 cobalt. Of course we also have ROAR to thank for our current brushed 27t "stock" motor dilemma.
